The Ceramic Nature ZCR-160 CO₂ Generation Kit (developed by Ziss Aqua and distributed by Ceramic Nature) provides a safe, controllable, and cost-effective method for introducing carbon dioxide into planted aquariums. Designed specifically to work seamlessly with the Ziss ZC-II CO₂ Generator system, this refill pack generates up to 160 grams of pure CO₂.
Unlike high-pressure pressurized CO₂ gas cylinders, the ZCR-160 system uses a chemical drip-reaction mechanism using a liquid solution (No. 1) and a solid component (No. 2). This allows beginner aquarists to supply vital carbon nutrients to aquatic plants without the risks or heavy costs associated with high-pressure gas tanks. It encourages vibrant plant growth, enhances leaf color, and helps stabilize aquarium chemistry.
