The Green Neon Tetra (approx. 0.6–0.8 inches / 1.5–2 cm) is a gentle, active schooling fish native to the blackwater tributaries of the Orinoco and Rio Negro rivers. Featuring a continuous iridescent blue-green stripe extending to the base of its tail and significantly reduced red pigmentation compared to traditional neons, this species creates a breathtaking display when kept in groups of 8 or more.
