The Kribensis Cichlid (Pelvicachromis pulcher), often affectionately called the "Krib", is a brilliantly colored West African dwarf cichlid prized for its striking purple-red belly, peaceful disposition, and fascinating parental care habits.

Short Description & Highlights

The Kribensis Cichlid (approx. 2.0–3.0 inches / 5–7.5 cm) is an exceptionally hardy and engaging freshwater fish, making it the ideal "beginner's cichlid". Unlike massive and aggressive African Rift Lake cichlids, Pelvicachromis pulcher features a manageable dwarf size, an elongated body marked by a dark horizontal stripe, and luminous crimson-to-purple abdominal patches that intensify dramatically during courtship.
