1. Tank Setup & Stability

While Red Fire Shrimp can comfortably live in nano setups as small as 5 gallons, a 10-gallon tank is ideal for beginners because larger water volumes maintain more stable parameters. Always ensure the aquarium is fully cycled before introduction, as shrimp are sensitive to ammonia and nitrite spikes. Use a gentle sponge filter to protect tiny shrimplets from getting pulled into the intake.

2. Diet & Grazing

These shrimp spend most of their day meticulously picking at surfaces for organic biofilm and microalgae.
